Why M.Sc. Cloud Computing Technology?

Internet and digital technology have transformed our life and the world we live in. Today, everything from purchasing groceries to booking flights, happens online. Business organisations are highly dependent on information technology in their day-to-day operations. With huge boom in the amount of data produced, stored and transferred, there has been a pressing need for new technologies that can enhance data storage and management capabilities. Cloud technology is the recent innovation, which is used to store and manage information online using remote servers. Using cloud computing technology, companies optimise their IT expenditure to meet their immediate requirements. Also, to execute this effectively, they’re in need of professionals who have the knowledge and skills required in cloud technology. Analysing this trend, RK University has initiated a post-graduation programme in cloud technology i.e. M.Sc cloud technology. The course is designed and developed based on the existing needs of the industry.

Course Objectives

M.Sc. in Cloud Technology includes wide range of subjects that build a strong knowledge on the latest trends used in cloud computing technology. The programme is developed based on the insight provided by industry experts. Below are some major subjects, which students learn during their post-graduation programme.
•    Knowledge on advanced computer networks, how to install and configure the server, basics of information security
•    Fundamentals of cryptography, Linux administration, hands on experience on virtualization and advanced computer networks
•    Data center and cloud security, advanced storage technology, project work that give clear understanding of cloud technology

Eligibility

The candidate must have completed 3 Years of Graduation from commerce or science background (University Board of Examination) that is recognised by any state board/central board with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
